Resources for Agents

SLG can work directly with licensed life insurance producers to see if a life settlement can benefit your clients. If you have policy owners who want to get out from under rising costly premiums, a life settlement could be a good option.

While most states only allow life settlements after two years from the policy issue date, these scenarios typically also qualify for a life settlement regardless of time:

  • Divorce
  • Terminal or Chronic Illness not present when policy was issued
  • End of employment relationship for key-man policies
  • End of business partnership
  • Some bankruptcy situations

With basic policy information and in-force illustrations we can evaluate your book of business and identify policies where a life settlement might make sense.

Most states require a life producer to hold a life or viatical settlement broker’s license to be paid directly on a life settlement transaction.

Contact SLG today to discuss our buy box and whether you have any clients who might be a good fit for a life settlement.
